Everybody's Fool ~ The Beginning Act

[ It was late at night - maybe Madsen was on her way from work or other such activities, but whatever the case, the peacefulness would be interrupted by what appear to be a couple of raised, rough voices. It seemed to belong to people not from here - a gang and another person, unaffiliated.

It appeared that there was a group of no-good has-been's surrounding what appears to be a young girl—or rather young boy. They appear to be up to no good. One of them asks, "What's wrong, gonna cry? There's nothing you can do about it, anyway."

The boy doesn't respond, only staring at the gathering in what could be perceived as warily, since he had nowhere else to go. One of them said, "How about we take 'im with us and see if we could get some money out of it? Judging by his clothes, his parents are bound to loaded, and if we demand a ransom..."

Finally, he does seem to speak up. ]

Sorry, but I don't really want to play around with people like you today. Plus, you all smell and look terrible. Seriously, take a bath!

[ One of them sneered, getting out a knife. "What'd you just say?! You little brat...how about we rough you up some? Then maybe you'll realize what kind of position you're in!"

It looks like this is getting bad, and though his green hair might be odd, he kind of can't do much about it (for the moment), so he just curls his hands into fists, bracing himself for the people closing in on him... ]

[ At this point, Madsen was returning back to her apartment, having just only a few hour earlier returned from a mission abroad and also debriefing. She adjusts the strap on her duffle bag, running a hand through her bangs as she walks down the streets with confidence that has been only honed over the years due to her experiences.

It's the raised voices that catch her attention, a bad habit of rubbernecking still sticking with her despite everything. Her eyes narrow, frowning a little before she quietly makes her way to where all the ruckus was occuring, leaning against the nearby alleyway and waiting. Too bad for them when she's right there behind them that she catches wind of the mention of kidnapping.

It's when the knife comes out that she makes her presence known, letting out a low whistle. ]

Ganging up on a kid. Real fuckin' cute, assholes. [ Before they can blink, she shifts forward as her hand shoots out, grabbing the wrist of the idiot who decided to pull a knife and twisting, forcing them to hit the ground with a loud thud. For all the lack of height, the look she's giving them certainly makes up for it, and ... are her eyes glowing a little? ]
